The Giddy Goose Cafe

One of our commercial flooring projects was to uplift and remove water damaged semi solid flooring and fit our 148mm Engineered Oak flooring in the Giddy Goose Café.

The challenge was to do this without disrupting the busy café which is open 7 days.

Hi Mark,

A big thanks you to you and your team for replacing the floor so quickly, it looks great.

Brian, The Giddy Goose Cafe.

Mark and our wood floor fitting team started work on a Friday afternoon when the café closed for the day, first uplifting the existing water damaged wood flooring and removing it from the café for environmental disposal.

We then cleaned and prepared the subfloor for the new engineered wood.

Work continued through the night, all the engineered oak boards are glued together and secured with clamp straps until the adhesive is set. We removed fixed leg tables and fitted the engineered oak. The tables were then fixed back in place.

The final stages of fitting the new oak finish skirting and oak finish door profiles were completed around 5 a.m on a cold winter morning.

All boxes and waste were removed from site and the engineered oak floor received a final vacuum and sweep.

The café opened as normal on the Saturday morning with a superb new engineered oak floor.

Thank you to Roxanna and her team for the wonderful coffee and breakfast which kept us going!
