The brief for this project was to replace white tiles with a softer finish very hard wearing laminate flooring to the sitting room, hall, utility, landings, bedrooms, and studies, along with a contemporary dark laminate to fit in with the clean lines of the modern kitchen.
Our client decided on an 8mm Canadian Maple finish laminate floor for most of the project , replacing the traditional skirting with a clean square top 5 inch white skirting.
Quickstep classic plus laminate in a beautiful dark grey oiled oak design was used for the steps and kitchen flooring.
We also fitted a durable Primo Plus ,stainfree twist from Cormar carpets to the stairs in a super contemporary grey.
The project was completed over 4 days, with all of the laminate flooring and skirting being fitted first.
This involved removing the old skirting and any existing flooring from site.
We also lifted the existing fireproof hearth tiles and refitted them at the finished laminate floor height.
The laminate flooring was fully adhered onto the kitchen steps, with aluminium stair nosings being used along with a new aluminium vent cover.
All door profiles used matched the floor finish.
We then finished the laminate floor with the new 5 inch skirting .
Finally our carpet fitting team installed the new carpets to the 2 flights of stairs.
Our client is very pleased with the completed laminate flooring and carpet.
